Glass Beads for Doll and Bearmaking
I love the way glass beads feel in my bears, but buying them has always been a problem because the shipping is always astronomical due to its weight. I've been able to find a local supplier and decided I would share my good fortune with the bearmaking community. These are fine, silky soft glass beads that can be used in bearmaking and dollmaking, including the Reborns that are so popular now. I've seen glass beads for sale anywhere from $2.85 per pound to $8.00 per pound PLUS shipping costs (some quite high!) on top of that. I'm offering these glass beads in 5 lb. bags (packed in a heavy-duty plastic reclosable bag) at $18.00 per bag. That's $3.60 per pound.
Here's the good news: Your flat rate shipping cost is just $7.70 UP TO 25 lbs. via priority mail anywhere in the US. You can buy as many 5 lb. bags as you like. The more you buy the more you save on shipping!
Here's an example of the savings:
- Buy 2 bags (10 lbs.) @ $36.00 plus $7.70 shipping is $43.70 or $4.37 per lb.
- Buy 5 bags (25 lbs.) @ $90.00 plus $7.70 shipping is $97.70 or $3.91 per lb.

Distressed Wooden Chair
This is a green wooden chair that has a distressed finish to make it look vintage. It is about 16" tall and has a broad 8" seat for those portly bears! I have shown the chair with Dagwood who is about 17" tall to give you a sense of the size. Note that Dagwood is not included in the purchase of the chair.
